Kevin M. Sheff
Kevin Sheff is an attorney with more than 20-years of civil litigation and business consulting experience. Kevin has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of families, estates, shareholders, patients, businesses, investors, consumers, and individuals who have been injured.
Kevin has been honored repeatedly as a "Top Lawyer Named by Their Peers" in Utah Business magazine, Legal Leaders edition, and he has also been "Recognized for Distinction in Personal Injury Law" in the Utah Legal Elite™ edition of Utah Business magazine.
Kevin has been repeatedly recognized by his peers as one of Utah's Legal Elite™ attorneys based upon a state-wide balloting process. Members of the Utah State Bar were invited to participate by submitting a ballot of Utah lawyers they hold in the highest regard; attorneys they have observed first-hand and would recommend to others. Thousands of votes were pared down by a variety of screening processes, including review by a panel of judges. Kevin has repeatedly been a top vote-getter in recognition of his civil litigation work as a personal injury lawyer.
A native of New York, Kevin's clients are the reason he continues his civil litigation practice in Utah, and his unique consulting experience helps him advise entrepreneurs, businesses, and clients worldwide. Kevin believes that for every wrong there is a remedy, and he established Sheff Law Offices to help people who have been injured, and to help entrepreneurs grow and protect their business investments.
Kevin received his B.A. from the University of New York, Geneseo, and his J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law where he was a William H. Leary Scholar.
Kevin served the Utah State Bar for two-years as the Chairman of the New Lawyer Training Committee, and he was selected by the Utah Supreme Court to be a Mentor to attorneys in the New Lawyer Training Program. Kevin has been named to the Utah State Bar Pro Bono Honor Roll in recognition of his volunteer service on behalf of the poor, and he has been invited to speak before members of the Utah Bar on civil litigation and personal injury law issues.
Kevin has also served as a Director, Officer, Trustee and Legal Counsel to publicly-traded companies, and he has organized, advised, and represented numerous private for-profit, and non-profit corporations.
Kevin is admitted to practice in all Utah State Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Utah, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is a member of the Litigation Section of the Utah State Bar, and he has associated with qualified attorneys in other jurisdictions around the country.
Prior to founding Sheff Law Offices, Kevin was an attorney in the nationally-recognized law firm, Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy, P.C., Utah's oldest, and at the time of his service, Utah's largest law firm.
